I saw this video once before and unfortunately I agree with the fact that what they do is to joke with other peoples work. Imagine you work hard to create or come with a nice concept to a video or you do a funny video and it becomes a hit in youtube. Then a company, an agency COPY your concept and apply it to a client spot or campaign. First, is intellectual robbery, then is another joke since it believes that we gonna like it because it is similar to a hit, or a very popular video with million views on youtube. I mean, those who are the target of these spots (we, young people, connected with internet), we now, I now this videos from youtube and I don’t get impacted with this. I just received an email from TED, one of the most important, if not the most, conferences we have today. It’s a reunion of cientists, social thinkers and humankind lovers, all gathered toghether to talk about solutions problems we are living, even if we don’t see them as problems.
I really like and its clear his happiness when the crowds applause him after telling the one of the most important steps to the future are ethical classes. I agree and I believe that our teachers and our society needs an human touch that somehow was forgotten somewhere in the past. I’m not saying we don’t have this human touch, but I deeply believe that our values are not the best we could get, and that we have a huge potential to help and love our equals that just a few recognize.

“Cachorro-Peixe” for Space Fox VW

SpaceFox – Cachorro-peixe – Brazilian Version
I will talk about this spot because is one that really caught my attention when I first saw it. It has a powerful insight, that all the young people is never alone. We love to have friends (like a dog by the way) around us, and space is essential in a car cause we just want to take everyone with us, no matter where.

There are two versions around, at least that I’ve seen until now. One is the shown in Argentina and other in Brazil. What calls my attention is that the argentinean one doesn’t have the copy used in the original (brazilian) video. And that makes me ask why? Are the target’s so different? Are they different at all or is due to a poor translation? Cause the text is nice and evocative and ads emotion.
If you have a better understanding of the matter, please tell me.
There is a making-off in portuguese talking about the concept, idea, message and how the idea emerged. It’s really interesting to see how the concept grew.
